When the days turn long and warm, there’s nothing better than a refreshing drink that feels a little bit special. One of our favourite warm-weather tricks is making tea ice cubes – a simple way to add flavour, colour, and a touch of class to your iced drinks.
You can make these with any of our blends, but they work especially well with the more robust teas: Luxe Grey, Minty Ohm, or Kapow. Their bold aromatics hold their character beautifully, even once frozen.

Today we’re sharing a version we’ve been loving lately: Luxe Grey Ice Cubes with Little Pips Black Doris Plum Soda. It’s fragrant, refreshing, and just that little bit fancy – the perfect afternoon cooler.
Luxe Grey Tea Ice Cubes with Plum Soda
You’ll need:
- 2 Luxe Grey tea bags (or 2 Tbsp loose leaf)
- 1 cup boiling water
- Ice cube tray
- Little Pips Black Doris Plum Soda Syrup
- Soda water

Method:
- Brew it strong. Add the tea to a teapot, pour over boiling water and steep for 5–7 minutes. You want the flavour a little more intense than your usual cup, so that it shines when mixed with the soda.
- Remove the tea bags or strain the leaves. Let the brew cool to room temperature.
- Pour into an ice cube tray and freeze until solid.
- Add a handful of Luxe Grey ice cubes to a glass, add 30ml Little Pips Black Doris Plum soda syrup, then. top up with soda water.
As the cubes melt they slowly infuse the drink with soft bergamot and black tea notes – no dilution, just extra deliciousness!
